30-Day Pilates Body Challenge: Day #17 (strong glutes)

30 day challenge thumb day 17

Are you ready for another booty-strengthening Pilates routine?

These exercises will certainly tone and lift your backside, but did you know there are a lot of other benefits to having strong glutes? Here’s a quick list:

Strong glutes…

  • make you a better runner by improving your ability to accelerate.
  • reduce your risk of injury in your lower back, knees, hamstrings, and groin.
  • improve your posture.
  • contribute to fat loss – it’s a big muscle and muscular tissue burns more fat!

That should be enough to get you excited about today’s workout. 🙂

Enjoy!

  1. Thank you for this great challenge. My husband and I have been enjoying every workout. I have really enjoyed the delayed soreness. It reminds me to work on my posture and to activate my core after I have been sitting at my desk for too long. Thank you!!!

  2. Day 17 completed, Loving these short and sweet (sometimes!) workouts 🙂 Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you and yours Robin and all taking part in the 30 day challenge. Jaqui xx

  3. Day 17 done! I have trouble bending my wrists that make some of the positions difficult… hoping it is OK to fist my hands resting on my knuckles instead….

  4. Going to feel it tomorrow. Missed yesterday so I doubled that up with today, and I have a TRX class later tonight! I did some of these from low plank to give my wrists a break.

  5. Appreciate all the modification suggestions you give, especially for arthritic wrist & thumb challenged beauties! You are a champ to keep reminding us how normal you are. Booty is getting more beautiful each week! Thanks.

  6. I am a massage therapist who struggles to keep good posture and body mechanics during my massage sessions. I love how transferable aspects of the workout are to outside activities

    That was good!

I’m sure that I am among your more advanced aged followers (53 next week) and I just want to tell you that I enjoy your workouts, your fun demeanor and the way you encourage and lift up during the videos. I may not keep up 100% with you younger and stronger gals, but I know that I feel better and I’m gaining strength. Thanks for being a beautiful blessing to all who follow you! <3

  8. Hey Robin! I’m not sure how I originally found you, but I’ve been following you for a few years and tagging along on your Challenges from Minnesota and from southern CO. I joined the Sisterhood last month and am enjoying that as well.
I’m loving the Challenge this year and really appreciate everything you do, and the gracious, heartfelt and generous manner in which you do it.
    Brava!
    Anna
