Fall Workout Wear

cozy-orange

Don’t hate me for saying this, but Fall is definitely in the air.

Now that I live in a state with all 4 season it’s a bittersweet time of year. Fall is my favorite season but I hate that it means summer is so far away. I’m choosing to soak up the last days of summer as long as I can and then fully embrace Fall for all of its cozy, coffee-drinking, sweater-wearing, football-watching (aka: snack-eating), soup-making goodness.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, fitness brands frequently contact me to try out their latest pieces. It’s a pretty fun perk of my job. New clothes arrive on my doorstep every few weeks. 🙂

But I want you all to know that I am very, very selective in the brands I choose to showcase here. If I don’t like something I won’t write about it. I only mention products here on The Balanced Life that I genuinely love and would use regardless of my relationship with the brand.

In the months to come I’m going to be including some regular posts on fitness fashion because it’s a really exciting time in the athletic wear industry. Brands are taking a very fashion-forward approach (Athleta is taking on NYFW) and I love how many are embracing pieces that easily transition from the studio to lunch or a night on the town.

As a mom who works from home and in the studio it’s important for me to find quality, transitional pieces so I don’ t have to change clothes 3x per day. It’s also important that I don’t feel frumpy wearing the same old yoga pants day in and day out. My activewear clothes are my everything clothes (work, lounging, workout, etc.)

Fall Workout Wear

Lately I’ve been loving a few pieces from Cozy Orange, a new, eco-friendly brand out of Southern California.

I get on clothing kicks where wear the same thing for weeks at a time and I have a feeling this Phoebe Pullover will be one of those pieces.

And the pants, I LOVE the pants. Patterned pants are all the rage right now but I generally can’t bring myself to fork over the cash for pants that aren’t versatile. But these are subtle enough that they work with a variety of different tops and are a fun alternative to my plain old black tights.

I’m appreciate brands that are passionate about doing good in the world so I love that Cozy Orange is dedicated to using eco-friendly materials and sending a portion of all proceeds to developing third world countries.

As much as I’ll miss my tank tops, capris and flip-flops, I’m excited to embrace these cozy, fall workout wear in the coming months.

  1. I absolutely love that outfit! I am a sucker for cozy clothing, which is one of the many reasons I love fall (which, unfortunately, is still a long way off here in Texas). Since I’m a homeschooling mama and I often workout at home, or head straight from the gym to “do school” at a coffee shop, I’m all about transitional fitness pieces. I’ll have to check out this brand! (And that picture of you on the bench with your coffee? Fall/cozy perfection.)

  2. I love cozy, long leggings/tights. Do you have some recommendations for long tights with a good height waist (i.e. not too high-rise, not too low-rise) that are not constricting? I know some women prefer compression, but I’m trying to find comfortable tights that still stay up when doing Pilates and yoga. I’m tired of my middle being squeezed! (I have wide waistband leggings, but they’re still quite tight, maybe it’s the material?) I’m also quite tall (6’1″) so I feel some tights pull down at my waist as well. I would love any and all suggestions! 🙂

  3. Such a cute workout and lounge wear. Happiness it is that i able to view your site. I just try to go on your link in ig and now i’m reading your post. I don’t know if you able to read my dm at ig weeks ago that i have a problem opening your site. Anyway it does not matter anymore i’m elated.
