TBL Favorites: May 2019

Hi Beauties!

I hope you enjoyed the Monthly Teaser in your inbox this morning! (If you’re not signed up for our monthly roundup, you can join our list here.)

The team and I have so much fun compiling our favorite things to share with you each month! Hopefully they spark inspiration, provide joy, help you find a new pair of running shoes, try a new recipe, or read a new book!

Currently Listening to:

Listening to Lauren Daigle on repeat! My kids request her music every night at bedtime!

“Girls Night with Stephanie May Wilson is one of my favorite podcasts, especially Episode #22: Rest & Self-Care — How To Actually Do It!” – Teddi

Johnnyswim has a new album out and it’s great to listen to in the morning, while cooking dinner, or really anytime.” – Becky

“The Top 5 Self Care Practices that Cost You Nothing from The Refined Collective Podcast was a great episode!” – Martha

Currently Reading:

I’ve been reading Rachel Hollis’ new book, Girl, Stop Apologizing and really enjoying it.

“I recently read In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan. It was so thought provoking, and it made me rethink food in general in a really good way.” – Teddi

My Squirrel Days – I love reading memoirs by actors who are so down-to-earth and Ellie Kemper always makes me laugh.” – Martha

“I’m re-reading Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World by Kristen Welch. She’s funny, smart, and practical and I love how she provides such wisdom in this book.” – Becky

“I’ve been listening to Imperfect Courage by Jessica Honegger – she stepped out of her comfort zone and has changed the lives of so many people across the globe. It’s really inspiring.” – Jordin

Wardrobe:

I recently found a few fun pieces from Target’s new Joy Lab line!

“I just got this Seamless Performance Top from Old Navy in the mail. It’s so soft, comfortable, and has thumb holes!” – Sarah

“This oversized Jean Jacket from Carly Jean Los Angeles has become a new favorite. It’s perfect for traveling!” – Jordin

“This is my new go-to bag from Parker Clay and it’s the perfect size for everyday use!” – Becky

Also, something exciting to share! My friends at Apolis are raising money for a great cause this month with these gorgeous, customizable Wine Totes! They’re only available for ONE week all year, so sign up for the waitlist now! They even perfectly fit a Pilates mat ?

In the Kitchen:

I’ve been using my citrus press a lot lately and every time I use it I think, “why did it take me so long to buy one of these?” I love it! Especially for making  lemon water to cleanse my system and support digestion on a regular basis.

“For me, Spring is ALL about strawberry shortcake season, so I’m enjoying a few healthier options like this Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie + a Gluten Free/Dairy Free Shortcake!” – Martha

“We have been loving this Ground Turkey Sweet Potato Skillet! And this Honey Garlic Chicken with Veggies One Pan meal is so easy and quick! Perfect for weeknights!” – Sarah

“The weather is getting warmer in Southern California, so I’ve been spending more time at the beach! I’m always looking for healthy snacks to quickly throw in my beach bag, and dried fruit seems to always make it in there! I look for the unsweetened varieties.” – Teddi
